VIVI K. CRANDALL GALLERY - News and Information

	November 2007: It has been a year since the last news update but finally something new for our vistors. Over the past months this sites code has been updated to work with the newest versions of browsers. Back when we first built vivicrandall.com the code/script/html etc...was very different from todays internet languages. I finally decided to devote the necessary time and effort to get this site 'back to the future' so to say. The only thing that is not functional -yet- is the guestbook, which will be up and running before long. We have released 2 new Vivi prints for Chistmas..."Emerald Nights" and "Secret Stash"...check them out here. Also "The Lords Prayer" is now priced at $225.00. Lastly...all of us here at Artist's Choice wish you and yours the best of the holidays and coming year.

	December 8th, 2004: NEW PRINT ALERT - Just released - "THE LORD'S PRAYER". What once was lost...is now found, Remember "Catwalk"... well this classic 'Vivi' cougar, painted around the same time, has just resurfaced after a seventeen year disappearing act. We immediately took it to print and can now share our stunning discovery with collectors. The size of "Lady in Red", 12x16, with the colors and feel of "Snowblind" and, the aforementioned, "Catwalk"... this image is destined for similar greatness. 	*April* 2004: New print released: "Pins & Needles" a 'nook & cranny" of a mountain lion cub - is 6x8 and sells for $50.00s/n - $65.00a/p. This cutie was originally painted in 1992. Check it out!

	The 'Artist's Choice Awards' will permanently retire on 12-31-2003. We would like to express our appreciation to the award community and our applicants for all the positive experiences and the level of success it achieved. Thanks!! All pages will remain accessible - yet inactive.

	11-14-2003: New print released: "Frostbite Falls" captures a bull moose in its natural setting - is 9x12 and sells for 95.00s/n. This is from another original Vivi painted in 1985. Check it out!

	9-27-2003: New print released: "Wildfire" features two antelope running side by side - is 9x12 and sells for 95.00s/n or 120.00a/p. This is from an original Vivi painted in 1985.

	Just released, "Lot O' Bull", featuring 3 bull buffalos. This striking print is 12"x24" with an edition size of 760 and priced at $140.00. More info and a picture will be added to the new release page ASAP.

	The Artist's Choice Award program has been upgraded by Award Sites! to a very respectable 4.5 rating. Quite an honor for a program that is just over a year old. I would like to thank AS! and the award community for aiding and allowing us to reach this achievement.

	4-7-2002: Collectors!! The price list has been updated, (going up, up, up!!). Also, "Northern Lights" now available as desktop wallpaper.

	Artist's Choice has just released a new Vivi print, "Three Little Indians", featuring 3 curious owls. Print details: edition size: 760, dimensions: 13x26, price: $150.00. For more info call 1 (800) 845-4553.

	3-9-2002: Added a new Digital Enhanced section to the wallpaper page. These images have been optimized digitally, (and in some cases altered), by the webmaster through photo manipulation. Vivi's original paintings are incredible and impossible to improve on. The goal is to enhance the materials available for optimal desktop presentation.

	Added new wallpaper, "ACA Night Watch". Most of the available photos of Vivi's work are lacking in quality. They don't capture the exceptional quality of the original pieces because of poor color and compression. That said, the prints available don't always do justice to the actually painting. This particular wallpaper was painstakingly manipulated in a photo editor for the best possible computer output. Check it out, it's magnificent!!

	We have discontinued our-online ordering feature. All orders will now be taken by phone using our toll free number 1 (800) 845-4553. This should improve the ease and accuracy of order placement. By phoning our gallery, collectors will have more options like; current availability, print number selection, exact shipping charges, custom name plates and expert framing.

	Okay, I never thought that I would have to say this, people are not reading the criteria before applying to our award program. I know that most award seekers will not read this message, but I must vent. Having applied for my fair share of awards, I am surprised by this statistic, especially from (veteran) award applicants with programs of their own. 	The Artist's Choice Award site has been updated for 2002. Every effort has been made to present a first class award program. After 9 months, the ACA is firmly established in the award community and recognized as an honor of distinction. Applications for (award-program) rating upgrades have been submitted with results due by the end of January.

	The Artist's Choice Merit Award graphic has been redesigned. Vivi's "Dew Drop Inn" is now the official insignia on this award. This design is more elegant, thus, better represents its purpose.

	10-17-2001: The award graphics for the "Artist's Choice Awards" have been tweaked, slightly. Their new and improved look is here to stay. Previous winners may request an updated graphic. Also, within the last month, our awards program has been rated by - Awards Sites, GTA and UAG. Thanks to them for reviewing and accepting us.

	Two new prints are now available! "Cornball" (bunny), a 5x7 with an edition size of 1,300 that sells for $50.00 and "Old Ivory" (elk), a 12x16 with an edition size of 760 selling for $120.00.

	Recently, a (high-quality) canvas print of "Treasure Island" #8/94 was stolen from the Cedar Chest Gallery in Rawlins, WY. If anyone has any knowledge on the whereabouts of this piece, please contact us at 1-800-845-4553 or email our webmaster . Your help in resolving this matter will be greatly appreciated.

	Country music artist Kenny Bradberry has dedicated his new CD, "The Buddy System", to Vivi's memory. Inside the CD sleeve is a small reproduction of her painting with a personal tribute to his good friend. On the back of the CD is the statement below:
		The Buddy System is an original oil painting by Vivi K. Crandall. In true Vivi fashion, she got this project off the ground. Out of respect, admiration and most of all love, I dedicate this album to Vivi's memory. I am honored to reproduce her painting inside. It just so happens that The Buddy System perfectly describes this album - the songwriters, my new friends in Nashville who made it come to life, to the fans who are always there - you're my buddies. What a system!

	Congratulations to "Om El Arab" for being our first ACA winner! This is a truly well put together site. I would advise all webmasters to visit this site before applying.

	As of today, 6-7-2001, there are still no winners listed on our "Artist's Choice Awards Winners" page. None of the sites that have applied were deserving. Although we did give out a few "Hot Site" merit awards, these awards are not listed on our winners page.

	4-26-2001: Added new desktop wallpaper to our "Free" section. Look for even more Vivi wallpaper to be added in the next few days.

	4-14-2001: New page, "V.I.P", (Very Important Paintings) is a Vivi collectors interactive forum. Please read the published article and respond with your feedback. This will help us deal with ideas for future Vivi releases. We will add new ideas for discussion as they arise. Also, our online ordering is back up and running as we have updated prices on select prints.
